Experience a Fiddler like no other, with the full ability of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus as well as a production that is both thousand in calibration and intimate in its power to bring you direct to the heart of the village of Anatevka. Bring together the states as Tevye, his wife Golde, and their five daughters feel the real joys and sorrows that have made this meaningful work an enduring part of our culture.

Join us for a pre-show lobby operation past Kol Zimrah, Chicago's Foremost Jewish Community Choir nether the direction of Cantor Pavel Roytman.

The Sunday Oct 2 performance of Fiddler on the Roof will exist followed by a very special console discussion, "A Chat with Cantors: Exploring Jewish Musical Traditions in Fiddler on the Roof".

Participants representing congregations from throughout the Chicagoland expanse include: Cantor Rachel Brook (Anshe Emet), Cantor David Berger (KAM Israel), Cantor Pavel Roytman (Beth Hillel Congregation B'nai Emunah), Cantor Steven Stoehr (Beth Shalom).

The conversation volition be moderated by Lyric Opera of Chicago Teaching Artist, Cantor Heather Aranyi (Congregation Beth Am).

Pre-opera talk

Join us in the Ardis Krainik Theatre one hour earlier your opera performance begins for a gratuitous, xxx-infinitesimal preview talk discussing that 24-hour interval's product.

Seating is unreserved, just a ticket for that day's performance is required. Talks begin one hr before each operation and doors open approximately 15 minutes before the start of the talks.

Pre-opera talks are supported by Raynette and Ned Boshell.
